Our school comes under the Registered Society, “Torpa Rural Development Society for Women” a registered NGO (Non Governmental Organization), belonging to the sisters’ congregation, the Society of the Sacred Heart. It has been working, since 1991, for the empowerment of women and children, mainly indigenous, in Torpa, Jharkhand, in around 65 or more villages. It was started by Padmashree Sr. Karuna Mary Braganza. It was registered in 1995 under the Societies Registration Act of 1860 in undivided Bihar (Registration No.111), and re-registered in Jharkhand (Registration No.177). The Society also has 80G and FCRA.
